Calibration and verification of current and voltage transformers
In our testing laboratory, we perform official verification measurements in cooperation with METAS and ISO/SCS calibrations on current and voltage transformers. Our SCS-accredited services comply with the standards IEC 61869-1 (general for current and voltage transformers), IEC 61869-2 (inductive current transformers), and IEC 61869-3 (inductive voltage transformers).
Whether for legally compliant billing in transmission and distribution networks or for precise measurement tasks: We ensure that your instrument transformers reliably comply with the statutory error limits and accuracy classes or are tested for compliance.
Our measurement parameters
- Inductive current transformers (block current transformers and clip-on current transformers)
- Primary: Up to 5,000 A, AC 50 Hz (extended measurement range 120%)
- Secondary: 1 and 5 A
- Current transformer tests and current transformer calibrations (IEC 61869-2): Ratio error and phase displacement
- (Phase Displacement)
- For accuracy classes: 0.1, 0.2, 0.2S, 0.5, and 0.5S
- Inductive Voltage Transformers (Single- and Two-Pole)
- Primary: Up to 52 kV (Um), AC 50 Hz (extended measurement range 120%) – Um = highest voltage for equipment
- Secondary: 100 V, 110 V, 100/√3 V, and 110/√3 V
- Voltage Transformer Tests and Calibration (IEC 61869-3): Ratio Error and Phase Displacement
- For accuracy classes: 0.1, 0.2, and 0.5
Measuring devices we calibrate
- Inductive current transformers (low- and medium-voltage) – block-type current transformers and clip-on current transformers
- Inductive voltage transformers (single- and two-pole)
